Pursuing Financial Peace

I’m on a special journey. One that promises to see me debt free in less than three years. I’m really focused on getting out of debt because debt is blocking my path to wealth, joyful service, and my dream of traveling the world. I also want a cottage by the sea where I can plant a garden.

I don’t want to worry about bills. I don’t want to do work that suck the life out of me. I want to live my highest self. How can I do that when I’m watching my money walk out the door daily…never to return? How can I be my highest self…playing the piano…learning French…when all these hands are in my pockets…my wallet….my bank account? Is the 0.01% I get on my savings account really interest or is it a slap in the face? Does paying 24% interest on a latte or a pair of shoes really make sense? Another slap in the face but this time it’s my hand that’s slapping me. Geez! Debt is really dumb.

So with the help of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) I’m getting a total money makeover. Why do I need to pursue financial peace? Because the borrower is slave to the lender and who wants to be a slave? Where’s the fun in that?

You can say what you want about Dave Ramsey and his plan. But if there’s a better plan for middle class families, stuck in the quicksand of debt to become debt free and get on a path to financial freedom, I’ll certainly try it but I don’t think such a plan exists.

So on January 11, 2018 I’ll be leading a 9 week FPU class in Brooklyn. If you are able to why not join me on my journey. Maybe you too can find your way through the dark tunnel of debt into the light of financial peace.

It’s time.
