My #1 Tip for a Healthy Breakfast: Chia Pudding

IMG_0249My personal recipe:

3 tablespoon organic chia seed

1/2 cup raw sheep’s milk yogurt (homemade) AND 1/2 cup raw sheep’s milk

1 cup raw sheep’s milk kefir (homemade)

2 -3 tablespoon Thompson raisins

1 small handful organic blueberries (may prefer to add after soaking)

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg

1 teaspoon vanilla essence or 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Soak for 2 hours or overnight. Very delicious and nutritious.

1/2 a ripe banana (added after soaking).#chia_seeds, #breakfast

Fact: Chia seeds are loaded with Omega 3 fatty acids. They are also said to boost energy and is high in antioxidants. Also, an ounce of chia seeds contains about 4 g protein.IMG_0250

This is a delicious breakfast. I make the yogurt and kefir myself. I get the raw sheep milk from The raisins add a natural sweetness without any added sugar. The vanilla gives the pudding a real decadent smell. You don’t need a lot of chia seeds because they have an amazing ability to expand.

Finally, you can also use any type of nut (almond, coconut, etc.) milk, instead of the sheep’s milk.
