My #1 Tip for a Healthy Breakfast: Chia Pudding

IMG_0249My personal recipe:

3 tablespoon organic chia seed

1/2 cup raw sheep’s milk yogurt (homemade) AND 1/2 cup raw sheep’s milk

OR

1 cup raw sheep’s milk kefir (homemade)

2 -3 tablespoon Thompson raisins

1 small handful organic blueberries (may prefer to add after soaking)

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg

1 teaspoon vanilla essence or 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Soak for 2 hours or overnight. Very delicious and nutritious.

1/2 a ripe banana (added after soaking).#chia_seeds, #breakfast

Fact: Chia seeds are loaded with Omega 3 fatty acids. They are also said to boost energy and is high in antioxidants. Also, an ounce of chia seeds contains about 4 g protein.IMG_0250

This is a delicious breakfast. I make the yogurt and kefir myself. I get the raw sheep milk from Uddermilk.com The raisins add a natural sweetness without any added sugar. The vanilla gives the pudding a real decadent smell. You don’t need a lot of chia seeds because they have an amazing ability to expand.

Finally, you can also use any type of nut (almond, coconut, etc.) milk, instead of the sheep’s milk.

Enjoy!
